I'm looking at my two teenage boys sitting about the sofa as they watch reruns associated with "The Daily Show". At age range 14 and 15, respectively, they're both gaining height as rapidly when i gain width from mid-life stick out.. Steven is a natural talker, an all natural laugher, a definite people individual. I realize that what girls don't understand is that as time passes and gravity that little yellow rose will grow right into a giant sunflower. "But mom, tats are cool! "Uh, oh -- did she say "cool"? I reeled from another revelation. My children are larger, smarter and COOLER than me personally. As I gaze back towards Jon Stewart as he wraps upward another segment of irreverent politics humor - the realization of all of the joy of motherhood was obvious. I had given birth to raised life forms! I'd given delivery to three beautiful children that had become bigger, smarter as well as cooler than me. For this particular great gift, I am awestruck as well as forever thankful. In my hopes, I say, "Thank you God for giving me just a little taste of your creation! "
